Our business hours are Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30pm, Saturday 11am – 2pm, Sunday Closed. We can organise pick up and drop off outside of these hours, if prearranged. For bookings outside of these hours, please email us your details and requirements and we will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Our charges include unlimited kilometres within the Australian state of Victoria.

All Prime Car Rental vehicles must remain within the Australian state of Victoria. All waivers will be void due to breach of contract should vehicles not remain in the state of Victoria. Prime Car Rentals vehicles are NOT permitted on unsealed roads or four-wheel drive tracks. Our vehicles are only permitted on sealed bitumen roads.

Yes. However, we encourage early notice to be provided as extensions will be given subject to availability.

A cancellation will incur a 10% loss of the total rental if cancelled prior to 7 days of the booking. If the cancellation is within 7 days of the booking there will be no refund.

You will be charged a full days rental unless prior arrangements have been made.

Prime Car Rentals accepts Debit Cards and Credit Cards, such as, Visa and MasterCard for the payments.  We do not accept payment from Amex or Diners Club Cards.

No. The hirer’s name must be on the credit card.

All drivers must have a valid Australian drivers licence, probationary licences are accepted as long as the driver is over 25 years of age. A current international licence will be accepted at an additional cost of $5 per day.

All drivers must be above the age of 25 years old.

Yes. However, all drivers must hold a full valid driver’s licence, and must be listed on and sign the rental contract. A copy of all drivers’ licences must be provided before the booking commences.

No, a Prime Car Rentals vehicle cannot be used to tow or push anything.

Yes, we can arrange baby and child seats upon pre-booking.

In the event of a break down or other issue, you must us contact us immediately. If any warning light is activated or the vehicle is not acting in its normal fashion you must contact us immediately. If you do not inform us, the situation may become detrimental, and a surcharge will be applied.

In the event of lost keys or out-of-fuel the customer will be liable for a surcharge.

No. Prime Car Rentals do not permit animals of any kind in any vehicle for any reason during your rental.

Yes. If you discover any defect not listed on the vehicle condition report you must notify one of our staff members on delivery. We encourage you to take photos to provide clarity.

Yes. Every Prime Car Rentals vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel. You must return the vehicle in the same manner. If you do not return the vehicle with a full tank, then the amount it costs to fill it will be charged. Also a 20% surcharge of fuel remaining to fill will be charged.

If a fine is received, a Statutory Declaration is filled out and sent back to the relevant party, nominating you as the driver of the vehicle. You are responsible for all fines received. An administration fee of $35 will be charged for this process.

No. However, if windscreen or tyre damage occurs a maximum excess of $300 will apply.

We must be informed immediately of any accident. We will notify you of the procedure (such as taking photos and obtaining information) and we will assist you to return to your travel plans as soon as possible.
