Prime Car Rentals accepts the following methods of payment for the rental of vehicles:

• Debit cards
• Visa and Master cards

All renters must provide a security bond to rent the vehicle. The amount will be refunded in full once the vehicle has been returned as per the terms and conditions.

Included in our daily base rate is cover for Single Vehicle and Multi-Vehicle Damage as per the terms outlined in the Rental Agreement. The amount of the driver’s liability on the vehicle is $3000.00 AUD.  This can be reduced at a daily cost as set out in the above table.

Glass and tyre cover is included in our daily base rates. There is separate excess of maximum $500.00.  This can be reduced at a daily cost as set out in the above table. This will apply in the case of a tyre blow out, broken windows or cracked windscreens.

Intentional abuse/mistreatment to these areas will result in a higher excess.

Our charges include unlimited kilometres within the Australian state of Victoria.

All drivers must have a valid, full Australian driver’s licence. No probationary or learner permits are accepted. A current international licence will be accepted at an additional cost of $5 per day.

There is no surcharge to have additional drivers. However, all drivers must hold a full valid driver’s licence, and must be listed on and sign the rental contract. A copy of all drivers’ licences must be provided before the booking commences.

Our rates do not change, and they include GST, location, registration, and administration fees. However, pre-booking is essential as we have limited stock available.

Every rental day is a 24-hour period or part thereof. There is a minimum 24 hour hire from the commencement of pick up. If the vehicle is not returned to the specified location, at the nominated date and time, without prior notice, a surcharge for relocation fees will be incurred.

All vehicles must remain within the Australian state of Victoria. All waivers will be void due to breach of contract should vehicles not remain in the state of Victoria. Prime Car Rentals vehicles are NOT permitted on unsealed roads or four-wheel drive tracks. Our vehicles are only permitted on sealed bitumen roads.

If the vehicle is returned before the period noted in the rental contract, no refund will be provided. However, exceptional circumstance will be considered by Prime Car Rentals management.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included in all prices quoted on this Website.

Our vehicles are not covered by road-side assistance. However, in the event of a break down or other issue, you must contact us immediately and we will assist you to return to your travel plans as soon as possible.

If any warning light is activated or the vehicle is not acting in its normal fashion you must contact us immediately. If you do not inform us, the situation may become detrimental, and a surcharge will be applied.

In the event of lost keys or out-of-fuel the customer will be liable for a surcharge.

Smoking is not permitted in any Prime Car Rental vehicle. If a vehicle is returned smelling of smoke, a surcharge will be incurred.

If the vehicle is not brought back in the same manner that it is rented a cleaning surcharge may apply.

Prime Car Rentals do not permit animals of any kind in any vehicle for any reason during your rental.
